The Problem: Mr Belton was unhappy with the way his roof had deteriorated over the years due to the build up of dirt and the accumulation of moss.

This Roof cleaning project was carried out by Stuart Babbs a Smartseal registered installer for Climashield who is based in Oxford. Upon inspection of Mr Belton's roof Stuart recommended a pre-treatment using Smartseal's Moss Clear product to kill off the moss and algae growth. This was to be followed by a comprehensive pressure clean of the roof and once dry, the application of a coloured roof coating.

The first stage above shows the roof being pressure washed. All health and safety considerations have been taken into account due to the steep pitch of the roof. The roof cleaning contractor can be seen held securely in position by using a harness.

The image above shows the roof after it has been pressure cleaned and all dirt and grime has been removed. You will be able to see a clear difference between the original dirt roof tiles as featured in  the first image above. After the roof was cleaned it was left for a few days to completely dry off.

The finished project shows the roof after it has been coated with Climashield in a Deep Tan colour. The transformation is quite remarkable and the roof tiles look quite new. Climashield will help protect the roof from the re-growth of moss as well as adding to the 'kerb appeal' of the property.

Mr Belton was very happy with the end result and said he would be recommending Stuart to his neighbours who have had similar problems with moss growth on their roofs.
